About M.B. Everett

M.B. Everett spent 38 years as a quality professional in the medical device industry. He built teams, ran global operations, and held a single standard above everything else: the product has to be right before it ships.
On April 1, 2026, he retired — and started over.
He is now a full-time author, and he brought the same standard with him. This is not a hobby. This is not a vanity project. It is a second career, executed with the discipline and seriousness of the first. After 38 years in the quality field, M.B. Everett promises a quality product.
The Work
M.B. is the author of the Purple Sky Saga — a post-apocalyptic urban fantasy series set in a world reshaped by a Carrington-level solar event in 2022. Ancient mythology is real. A power called dunamis has been released to a remnant of humanity. And one man — the NFL's best cornerback, the prophesied Blue-Eyed Black Man — is about to discover he may be the most powerful wielder alive. He doesn't want the job.
Nights of the Purple Sky, Book One of the Purple Sky Saga, launches April 2027.
His published works include Immortal of the Saltless Sea — a novelette set in the Purple Sky world, available now on Amazon and Barnes & Noble — and Tarik of Kadicoy, published in the Allies of Majesty anthology. His short story All For Sister Marisa earned an Honorable Mention in the prestigious Writers of the Future contest.
THE Mission
M.B. writes because he has stories worth telling. He also writes because storytelling, done right, is one of the few things that can change how a person sees the world.
Every dollar this author business generates beyond its operating costs flows to charity — after the initial investment is recouped. This is not a retirement plan. It is a mission.
THE Reader
If you read Jim Butcher, Robert Jordan, Brent Weeks, or Brandon Sanderson — you are exactly who M.B. Everett is writing for.
I grew up near Amish Communities in Indiana. I live in Michigan with my wife. I ride bikes, camp, and spend entirely too much time thinking about what happens in Book Three.
